Benefits of Exercising in Water
* Buoyancy of water reduces the effects of gavity, reducing the
risk of trauma to muscles and joints.
* Water is more resistant than air, improving strength and
effectiveness of the muscles to pump more fluid.
* The pressure of water on skin is greatest the deeper you
go in the water. Greater pressure on hands and
feet assists
with lymphatic and venous return.
The State of Kansas requires a prescription and release from your
doctor to start pool therapy. Our office will assist you in contacting
your doctor for this paperwork.
Call Cancer Rehabilitation Specialists to set up an initial session.
You will meet with the instructor 15 minutes prior to the start
of class on your first session to become oriented to the pool.
